Lol I used to be a competitive swimmer in High School.
If you guys keep bragging about your prowesses, why shouldn't I, just once?

Did your high school only have Olympic sized pools? That's unheard of here. Most of our universities don't have them.

What was your best swim? Favorite stroke? Were you a sprinter or an endurance swimmer? Why the fuck do you think swimmers get dizzy swimming 25 meters?

1.Naah, not working. My school didn't even have a swimming pool. But it was door to door to one.
The very, very few that did have a swimming pool on site were oriented towards that, and the academic standards were quite mediocre. Need I say that I didn't choose one of them because I wa. good with the brain stuff (math, in particular), too? I love this bragging.
I was doing it off-site & some arrangements.

Our universities don't have them either: they just contract certain hours with the Olympic-sized swimming pools.

3.No serious swimmer -espec. those who enjoy endurance swimming, like I do- would take a 25 m. pool instead of a 50 m. one. Quite frustrating, when you swim non-stop for long.

Competitive swimmers don't say "crawl" or "backstrokes." Shit, you're ridiculous.

You would say freestyle or free, then backstroke or back. Nothing else for those strokes. My best stroke was free, and my favorite was fly. I was a strong IM swimmer. Now, I primarily swim free, but I do a few lengths of breast if I need a break.

Free is crawl? Cool.
I love crawl, and I'm good at it. I'm awful at breaststroke. Maybe it has to do with muscles employed, who knows why,.
Fly is very hard for women.

What the fuck? Many women kick ass at fly and enjoy it. My friend's teen daughter beat me in a 50 meter race just a couple weeks past. (25 meter pool, we both did strong turns, neither of us got dizzy). Why do you continue with this sexist shit?

Not working.
Many people use the name crawl for crawl (freestyle sounds cool, but it's less suggestive and is used mainly in official settings) ), butterfly for butterfly, and the translation (in one's native lingo) of backstroke and breaststroke.

Freestyle has a very specific meaning, particularly in relays. You know that, I'm sure, since you swam competitively at the door to door pool.
