*BIG SPOILERS DONT READ UNLESS SEEN IT IF HAVENT SEEN IT SEE IT !!!* :)

recently saw mullholland drive ... what did you people think of it ?

i have to say i loved the start of the film the first 2/3rds were beautiful and i was actually willing the two leads to actually do something ... but was thinking they never would ... then blam ... wow im shocked its actually a healthy natural lesbian moment happening on screen

then whoosh the end of the film its all rubbished all the healthy love these two women feel is screwed up and thrown in the bin and then spat on ... lesbians on screen cant be in healthy relationships ... its sad and i was disappointed because i was amazed at what this filmmaker had captured on screen ... i knew something was wrong everything was slightly shiny in the 1st half of the film but couldn't they still have ended up together  :(

sexy girl, it's a david lynch film. it simply could not have ended neatly like that :)

I am a big fan of David Lynch.

I saw this movie about a week ago. I too enjoyed it through the first 2/3rds. Found it interesting... going along for the ride (and knowing Lynch waiting for the twists and turns that were inevitable...)

However the ending left me cold. I wasn't really impressed. Not anything to do with a healthy relationship - I didn't expect a "they all lived happily ever after" in a Lynch film (but sexy girl, there WERE lesbian relationships - no more fucked up than heterosexual, no less fucked up).

My point is - I think the ending of the movie kind of fell apart. I wasn't satisfied - not because of the ending, but because of the lack of a good ending.

Oh God! It was total crap. The last part of the movie, I mean.
I tell all the customers not to touch it! I was so very disappointed.
He was nominated for Best Director for THAT?! Shit!

the first 2/3rd had to be one of the best films i've seen beautifully shot interesting story with good characters an impending weirdness of unreality :) and a touching true lesbian love (i've never seen done in a film as well)

but then that film ends in my mind ... and we get a 2nd film with the same actors playing different roles with a completely different story the only link being that the same actors are being used ... i cant believe the first part of the film is diminished into a dream sequence

and i wouldnt say exactly i was wishing a happy ending but to make the characters that i felt attached too with some beautiful acting and story telling ... to have that cheated from me by saying it was all a dream bah ... bad david lynch :)

oh well i think i will try and forget the "2nd film" and remember the "1st film" of mulholland drive which i did really enjoy
