much needed computer help

i'm trying to create a boot disk here... and i cant figure it out for the life of me... i am sitting here with a disk, a win2k cd, a win98 cd, and a link to www.bootdisk.com i'm just not sure what to do with any of it...


can someone please help me?

i can't believe i'm offering assistance, but here goes. i THINK that at that particular website, you just click on whatever version of windows you want the boot disk for and download it to your floppy.

there was an attempt made to install win2k on the puter.. something didnt get done right, so setup doesnt finish.. it gets to a certain point and freezes. sometimes it gives an error (it just says contact your administrator... that's me in this case) and most times it doesnt.

it starts to run setup to find the mouse and keyboard drivers, but it freezes part way through and never finishes. so i have to restart, and setup starts again to do the same thing and it freezes every time. it wont run in safe mode or any other way either.. i've tried nearly everything i can come up with to find a way to bypass this, but nothing is working. so i'm going to do a fresh install (again *sigh*) and start it over. unfortunately, the cd-rom wont read the win2k disk that is in the drive. so i'm thinking of using a bootdisk of some form to at least get it to work.

only the problem i'm running into now, i dont really know for sure what bootdisk to use.. i think i have the right one, but i want to make sure i'm doing this the right way

you can make bootdiskt for windows 2000. Follow the guide in this link:

thanx for the links... i got the disk set up and all... its working all right... but the other problem i've run into now is its only showing 2GB of a 30GB hard drive... and i have no clue what happened to the rest of the hard drive, or how to get it back... any thoughts on this?
