My problem is everytime I type the URL to my avvy in the space provided (I have a photobucket account so I am not hot linking any sites ) I get the same message that it is not a valid .gif, .jpg, .png file.

Judging from the images in your signature, you know how to find the right URL to use. If you're positive there are no typos, then I think it may be a bug with Lit's version of vbulletin and you need to contact Laurel or Manu.

I am positive.
And I have sent an e-mail to them but have yet to hear back.

You should send a PM, not an email. It tends to be more effective.
