Just made voice contact with Oz during an Msn instant messenger link up but the sound was atrocious.

I had a problem as you descibed and I went out and got me a headset. I then turned down the volume on my speckers and it seemed to work Better. I hope this sheds some light. I know that speakers do cause abit of a problem if the volume is too high.

And Quisath is absolutely correct about the headsets .... if you still have problems with echo's and you've gotten netmeeting, then just pm me and I'll do my best to help you out. I use netmeeting all day long, everyday. (Kat and I talk a lot lmao)

We just tried net meeting, but had the same trouble with echo's. I might buy a new mic and see if it makes a difference.

Rawhumor is correct about having your mouth too close to the mic as well .......

The problem is feedback - sound coming from the speakers and going back into the microphone. Turn the speakers down, angle the mic away from the speakers, or wear headphones.
