I used msconfig to remove MSN from my startup menu. But everytime I do this MSN puts itself back in again. Anybody know how to stop it doing this?

And which chat system do you use and prefer? :)

MSN is The Thing That Wouldn't Die. Not sure how to eradicate it.

I use AIM, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo!. :)

Debbie are you actually trying to remove the entire MSN Messenger program?

I have MSN...don't ever use it.
I use AOL IM

You have to go into the "tools" menu, select "options", then "preferences", and uncheck the box where it says to load it at startup. Try that.

Try unchecking the 'load program when windows starts' box under options in msn. Tools, options, preference. That should take care of it. :)

I have them all, except an ICQ..i have no idea what that even is...lol...MSN is my fav though! :)

Hi SUmmerRose :)
No, not trying to remove it. My computer is running low in memory and am buying some more after Christmas. I just want MSN not to take up memory by not starting up. I can activate it when I want too then.

Thanks April and Estevie I have just done what you suggested. :)

I mainly use ICQ but like MSN and Yahoo.

i have msn yahoo and aol , of the 3 i prefer msn , as i can have more than one conversation or even confrence chats with mulitiple users, it is also easier to send files and pictures with
