Cybersex tipped the balance... though quite what his infertility had to do with anything is speculation and to be raised by the prosecutor instead of the defence seems odd. Who told the prosecution about the conversation in the car? This has to be the weirdest reporting ever.

Wife killed 'over cyber affair'

A husband stabbed his wife 10 times after he found out she was having a "cyber relationship" with another man, the Old Bailey has heard.

Aygul Dogan, 23, from Stoke Newington, begged her husband Kemal Dogan, 35, to forgive her after he found her baring her body on the web, the jury heard.

On their way home, Mr Dogan allegedly told her her life was at an end.

Mr Dogan, who was infertile, denies his wife's murder in December 2005 on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

The couple, from Stamford Hill, north London, married in their native Turkey in 1997 but had no children, apparently because of his infertility, Brian O'Neill prosecuting said.

He said: "In the weeks leading up to the night when his wife was killed this factor appears to have begun to become a strain upon their relationship.

"In addition to that - and perhaps more significantly - there is evidence that the deceased woman was involved in a cyber relationship over the internet with another man in Turkey.

"The defendant became aware of this on the night that he killed his wife and that factor seems to have been the direct cause of the fatal stabbing."

The kebab shop manager claims that he was suffering from clinical depression at the time of his wife's murder.

But Mr O'Neill said: "The prosecution submits that this is a clear case of murder by a jealous and angry husband as a result of his wife's perceived infidelity."

The court heard that when the couple made their way home Mr Dogan told his wife her "battery was finished".

Once home, they watched a family wedding video together with visitors and served tea and nuts.

Mrs Dogan was dead 20 minutes after the visitors left, the jury heard.

The trial continues.

I used to think the people in the middle east were all insane. Over the past few years I've come to understand they are just different - intellectually, morally, religiously, etc.

Seeing as these people were native of Turkey this probably makes sense. They were most likely moslems and the wife baring her assets on-line would be a serious crime.

However, this still does not excuse the husband's actions. Any punishment should have been dealt by a court of law or religious leaders.

Now he's going go get to bunk with "Bubba" in the concrete hotel.

Many of the people from there are crazy, at least by Western standards. That wouldn't let this guy off the hook, but it could be mitigating circumstances. Assuming the guy did the killing, which seems pretty certain, he may have thought he was justified because of her "cyber affair". Personally, I don't think such a thing is possible, because you can't fuck through a computerbut that's just my opinion. In some Moslem countries, he would have gotten away with it, but maybe not in Turkey. Definitely not in the UK.

Why would religious leaders have anything to do with dealing with this case. They might be "character witnesses" or something of that sort, but that would be all.

Bubba is from the southern US. I don't know who the British equivalent would be. Maybe Butch or Spike or someone like that. Unless you mean Bill Clinton, of course.

I thought Jenny meant Bubba Brown... but that is another story.

Ok, so the guy is infertile. Been married ten years. Pops the wife after watching a wedding video. Who is claiming the porn defense? Who is claiming infertility provocation? And how the hell did they know what was said in the car unless the husband confessed - in which case, why are they having a trial?

I think this is Bubba Brown trying to deflect press attention from his cash raising scandal, teddy bear scandal, iraq scandal, Scottish Mnister scandal, credit crunch scandal and Mourinho for England football manager scandal.

The quintessential prison experience is the cellmate called "Bubba the Love Sponge," according to Robin Williams. By way of explanation.
