So do you have one, or do you want one?

I recently got me one of these

and I have to admit that I like it. I did have a small mp3 player before this one that I didn't use, but that was partly due to the fact that it didn't have a display, so it was hard to navigate the songs on it.

I have a first generation pod, I just changed the battery. A delicate operation much like disarming a nuclear warhead. It's a fine device.

I'm going to start soliticing donations for the "Poor Dom's IPOD fund".

(I'm the poor Dom).

Any takers? :)

F was given one awhile ago through his work. Hasn't used it much as yet though.

Catalina :rose:

I have an iPod - not the mini one, the one in the middle. I love it, Got rid of all my cd's.

I got a Creative Zen Jukebox from ebay. I originally got quite excited about an IPod, but when I did the research I realised that the creative range do everything an ipod does and also have certain advantages over it such as a removable battery (so that when the battery goes flat in a couple of years time you just buy a new one for £5 rather than as with an IPOD sending it away to the manufacturers and paying an arm an a leg (as the battery is non removable in the IPOD).

The design certainly isn't as pretty. It hasn't got the "cool" factor that my friends IPODS have got. However it is much cheaper and I have had it for eight months or so now and not had a problem with it. At all. It is bigger than the ipod but still fits into my pocket no problem.

To say that I love my Mp3 player would be the understatement of the century. It goes with me everywhere, even just a 2 minute walk to the local shop I can't bear to not have it on. A lot of people told me that 40 gigs was too greedy but I disagree- my music taste is constantly expanding and music is certainly something that i don't think you can have too much choice about.

Lol I could rhapsodise about my Mp3 player all day, perhaps I better stop. :D

I have special headphones that hook into my hearing aids, so I can hear music although I don't quite hear it the same way people with normal hearing do. Nonetheless, I love music, although I only know a couple hundred songs, and if I don't "know" what is playing, I can't recognize it, and I can't comprehend the words to a song unless I have the written lyrics in front of me to follow along, and even that is hard. But...since my hearing is getting worse and worse, I treasure my erratic way of hearing music at all while I can.

Anyhow...I have an ipod mini. It's great for the fact that it is very easy to load songs on and whatnot, but the clickwheel is HORRID. I'm not sure why on earth this was supposed to be a "plus" feature on this thing because it is terrible. If you don't read the book and remember what to push and for how long to turn it on and off, you'll be punching things trying to figure it out. I have to have it on hold constantly after every thing I do so that it stays that way, which is annoying if you like to flip through songs like I do. If you forget the hold and put it in your pocket, you can have the thing reset in japanese in no time flat. That wheel is just god awful stupid lol.

I like the size and the cuteness factor, but I think they could do a lot better.

Don't have one.
Don't want one.

I listen to music sparingly.
First, I don't really know what I like, so I will try listening to things people recommend. I don't get many recommendations, so I am still trying to figure it out. I therefore don't have enough music to even consider needing one.
Second, in my house, if I have the chance to actually hear the music, I would opt for enjoying the silence...a very rare commodity here.

Hubby has an iPod (15g) and since I kept stealing his, we got me a iPod Mini in Silver. Got a great deal on it and love it.
Have hookups for our car sterio so it plugs right in (who needs a 6 disk CD changer when one has an iPod?).

I enjoy mine. Just need to find me a straight iPod to the crappy HP psudo-firewire thing adapter. Getting tired of hunting for that tiny adapter part whenever I need/want to resync my iPod.
