If you don't see me for a bit it's because I'm moving. Great fun this is, everything is either in boxes or leaning against the walls. We pick up the truck tomorrow morning and should make the move in one day. However I don't know how long it will take for me to get the computer back online so, have fun.

Are we there yet?

(as good for bumping the thread as any comment and closer to the reason we keep bumping it. :p)

LOL why do i have the feeling we're ganna hear that several times on the drive down to tx...but not from the kids?

SC...hoping your move is uneventful and that the new place is filled with great vibes!

Sheesh, well like the proverbial bad penny I'm back again.

Let me tell you, moving sucks big time. Our move was not fun and we had too many things go wrong to make a full list. Among them though was the truck rental company screwing up the reservations for the truck then trying to say it was somehow my fault. (Oops, too bad I had the original copy of the reservation in hand. :D )

On Tuesday as we were loading the truck I found myself face to face with a member of the local Police Department. As he stood three feet away from me with his hand on his holstered handgun he demanded that I explain myself. It too a couple of slightly tense minutes before a Sheriffs Deputy came out and explained to him in a very painstaking manner that A) I was not the person they were looking for, and B) knowing me as he did, (The deputy is one of the people I shoot for beer against every week as well as work out with on occasion,) I was not the person to be standing that close to while threatening me with a still holstered handgun.

After that it was all downhill. Tons of work, many miles put on our car, several bruises and a pulled muscle in my back but we are now in our new digs. Now it's time to start setting things up. (It took this long t find enough of the computer to get on line.) We should be set up some time around next Christmas. If we're lucky!

A little hint about the pulled muscle. If you are intent on making your own home entertainment center and decide you just have to make it out of some wood like Teak, make sure you have several people there to help you move it. (Three bays, eight feet long by six feet high. I have never weighed it but the damn thing is heavy. The next one gets made out of Balsa and Resin!)

Thanks for all of the votes of a good move.

Well I'm out of here. I'm checking one other thread then I'm heading to bed.

Congrats and let your wife ride for awhile, :D, you know, due to that pulled muscle!
