Movie thread inspired by Perdita

Reservior Dogs Michael Madsen's sadistic torturing of the captive policeman, culminating in the infamous ear scene, set to Stealers Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle with You"

Well I don't know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall of my chair
And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs

Clowns to the left of me
Jokers to the right
Here I am
Stuck in the middle with you

To this day, everytime I hear that song I immediately think of that scene.

Amen to that.

the ironic part is that "As Time Goes By" was a last minute replacement based on budget. the song was public domain.

My all time favorite, no matter what, movie. as long as it is in black and white. seen it colorized? what a travesty!

noted the opinion on J Williams, but still love his ability to match music and mood. a third of my soundtracks on cd are by him. other fav's are James Horner and Howard Shore.

do you think movie soundtracks are almost a different medium in the sense that they have different objectives? Not necessarily needed to stand on their own, but to enhance a visual image?
