Moved Threads

I note that this morning Thursday 5.36 am Australian time that some half dozen threads have been moved from this Board mainly to the General Board. One simply seems to have sunk without trace.

I don't know whether anyone asked for them to be removed or whether they were removed on the owners initiative. However, it seems to me that if the rationale is to be consistently applied a whole lot more could be given a red card and sent off.

Perhaps this thread should be removed? Any thoughts?

A place for writers and readers to socialise and discuss the craft of writing?

i have nothing personal against the AH. i get annoyed when purity is preached within the BDSM forums as well.

oh, and those personals threads that get moved if too much discussion occurs on them.

I'm interested in what threads have been moved from the AH. But I'll admit I'm too lazy and busy to looking for them.

Moving nonwriting topic threads and moving anything by other that Literotica authors (or readers commenting directly on the stories) from the AH is perfectly fine with me.

Not on Literotica, he doesn't--or anywhere else that can be traced. He writes volunteered book reviews on Amazon.com, though, in case you count those.

That's what the interesting explanation given by admin indicates. Sort of a surprise, though. There hasn't, to my knowledge, been anything that pointed given by the Web site on what belongs on AH before now. It's refreshing to see that. I hope it continues.

And the general board is, by name, for general topics, so I don't see it as the trash can for the rest of the board--it's the general discussion category. If any category becomes a trash can it's because of what posters are posting.

I'm sure jbj hates it that his hate speech is going to the forum that can out-hate him. He likes being the big toothy pike in the pond-- the sharks in GB would eat him without even noticing.

As always, I point out literotica could really use a politics and current events forum.

If anyone, it is Laurel herself. And JBJ isn't the only one she's tossed. LJwhateverthefuck comes over here to stir things up and he usually gets toss back into the GB.

It has nothing to do with who starts the thread but the manner in which the posts are made.

The AH and the GB do not have appointed mods. They are policed by Laurel, herself.

I don't know what her standards are for moving threads, but I have no complaints.

The pattern is that only threads started by posters with no submissions story-side in that name get moved. It's happened a couple of times before. As a secondary condition, the threads have all been inflammatory political crap-flap, posted under names known primarily for that sort of posting.

so, i'm only allowed to post a thread on the AH if it is related to the craft of writing, or i have written a story and my thread is not racist and hate filled? this is why i have never really posted over here. maybe i'll go write a story and come back. i'll be sure to follow the unwritten rules.

sarcasm? i could care less for jbj. i'm not liking those initials. his name shouldn't be associated with a bj. those are too nice. if he moved permanently to the GB, he would probably be iggied pretty quickly.




all i'm trying to say is take responsibility for your own trash. goodness. i know that hanging out on the GB is similar to choosing to live next to a toxic waste dump. no issue there. if racist and hate inciting material is only allowed there, that's fine. just own it. we have enough racists and assholes to deal with. we don't need yours.
