Happy Mother's Day...

to all you Mothers...

including Mother Earth!

The brightests stars
Mothers
they are
lighting the lives
of their children.

My night sky
has always been
magnificently bright

because I have
you for a Mother
that illuminates
my life

you Mom's have a wonderful, relaxing day off ~

Happy Mothers Day ~~!! :)

:rose: :rose:

I would love to write a poem,
but I hav'ta go to bed.
Work calls tomorrow,
and I must not be late ~

:rose:

Hey ma,
I wrote a poem
for you,
except
you don't read
poems,
so I didn't.

But have a great
Mother's Day.
Despite that you
don't read poetry,
I wouldn't have it
any other way.

M is for the million things she gave me,
O means only that she's growing old,
T is for the tears she shed to save me,
H is for her heart of purest gold;
E is for her eyes with love-light shining,
R means right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell MOTHER

Howard Johnson (c. 1915)

A day or two late

The Blessing We call Mother

She’s been known to skin her knees
Sometimes fearless in her world
As she does little things that please
This fragile but pretty little girl

Playing with balls and jacks
And jump ropes and girly things
To her honesty there seems to be no lack
As to life an innocence she brings

In the appointed time her biological clock
Causes her to seek a man’s embrace
And as maternal forces she unlock
She moves spiritually to a higher place

A place of maternal maturity
Where that sweet little girl
Becomes that valued queen of royalty
Ruling with her man in their family world

Building a kingdom that’s strong and good
A kingdom unlike any other
Instilling values that only she could
The blessing we call mother :rose:

one more

This Divine One

A feminine flower of beauty rare
A sensual living pearl
Earthly beauty beyond compare
Starting out as a little girl

That blooms into that bodacious flower
And gateway to human life
Growing more lovely every hour
Becoming someone’s wife

And with her boundless ingenuity
And the ability to multi-task
And an uncanny knack for creativity
And hold her family’s values fast

Cook, physician, housekeeper, and more
Trader of goods and recipes
This family icon we so adore
This molder and director of her babies

This wonderful gem through which life enters earth
This treasure unlike any other
This living beauty of matchless worth
This divine one that we call mother :rose:
