Here's my idea. Bear with me:

A single mom in her early-to-mid-40's lives with her 18 year old son. Through some chance encounter with a hypnotist (part of psychotherapy, quitting smoking, or a stage show, whatever). She's compelled to mentally go back to the person she was ~25 years ago, when she was about 17/18.

For some reason, the hypnotist is unable to change her back right away, so the son has to take her home. He's surprised to find she's a lot more fun than her normal, slightly fussy personality (for comparison, think the difference between the initial 1985 Lorraine and the 1955 Lorraine from "Back to the Future").

Since she thinks she's a teen (even if she looks in the mirror), the idea of having a teenage son doesn't register with her. Instead, since he resembles his father, she just sees him as a cute boy her age.

Eventually, she digs her old high school cheerleader uniform out of the closet, assuming she's still on the squad, which the son admits turns him on.

She convinces him to take her out (still in the cheerleader outfit, of course) and the two have a night on the town. They get into bars with fake ID's (well, HIS is a fake ID, anyway) and have a fun night getting into trouble doing things his mother would never do.

They finally end the night parked at make-out point, where they proceed to, well, make out for a while. Feeling bolder, the son runs his hands up and down her thighs a few times, and she finally tells him she's ready and wants him to take her. Unable to resist, he does just that.

Eventually, the mother is returned to her normal self (if a bit more easygoing) and seems to have no more recollection of the night than as a half-remembered dream. The son, for his part, decides to learn hypnotism, so they can repeat it someday...

What do you think?

For more fun, mom is in her late 30s. (She started young.) Ah, the existential question: Was she *really* hypnotized, or faking as a ploy to get her son's attention? This might be interesting a a two-part piece, first from the son's POV, then from mom's. (I used that trick in my short A TASTE OF LEMONADE 01 02 03 series). Even more ambitious: a patchwork of POV's, with their developing relationship seen by the hypnotist, other audience members, bartenders and patrons at the clubs they hit, various onlookers, neighbors, etc.

I love mental age regression stories. Especially with milves. There's not many out there.

I don't like the incest part myself, but it's really popular here and you seem to have a good grasp of where the story goes, you should go for it.

I've read stories where the subject was feigning hypnosis. I'd rather see it really happen.

Ah, that's the rub: Does hypnosis EVER "really happen" ?? Since this is LIT fantasyland, the answer is obviously 'yes'. All sorts of mindcontrol mechanisms function here. But we'll not know for sure whether she's feigning until we infest mom's POV -- or POVs. Let's say the hypnosis unleashes multiple personalities, each activated by a different codeword. There's hot-teenage mom and repressed-virgin mom and BBC-slut mom and lipstick-lesbian mom and dom-deluxe mom, etc. And one is ground-state mom, the original personality, observing and reacting to all her other selves. Just an idea...

I never knew that "milves" was the plural of "milf." But I guess it makes sense. I'm sure Tolkien would approve.

I think if the author says something happened a certain way, it's a safe bet that it happened that way.

Sure... unless they invoke half-meter-long cocks, 60-second seminal rejuvenation, and/or instant seductions and orgasms. "Suspended disbelief" has its limits. Sure, as an author, I can create whatever the fuck sort of universe I want. But readers might not react kindly to certain specifications. If hypnosis requires a Vulcan mind-meld, you'd better have some adept Vulcans nearby.

Yes, that would be great, especially feigning being mentally regressed.

A grammarian would not approve, although it's slang so there are no rules.

Yes, I know this thread is 5 years old.

Good idea except for the incest part, It should be her son's friend she has sex with instead.

Well five and a half years have passed. I wonder if our age-regressed-milf has regained her memories and been horrified at her actions, or if she is still living blissfully-ever-after and fucking the crap out of her now-23-year-old son?

This is LIT fantasyland so miracles happen. She WAS happily regressed; she STAYS happily regressed; she plays tennis a lot to stay toned, sure.

Don't recall the title but I read a contrawise story to this, of a 14-year-old guy in early puberty who goes comatose for a few years (and another where Santa grants his wish to skip high school) and awakens with an adolescent brain in an 18+ LIT-legal body. Shifted to the OP idea, Mom gives birth at an early age and then lies comatose for a enough years, with Modern Medicine keeping her body youthful and taut. She awakens at age 33 with a 15-year-old mind and an 18-year-old son, a cute kid like his dad, the lusty high school quarterback. We know what hilarity ensues.

A 15 year old mind in a 33 year old body just might trigger the LIT underage prohibition. I'm not sure, but I would tread carefully.

Also, this idea kind of reminds me of the movie Big. The MC could just ask Zoltar to let her skip ahead to adulthood.

The story of a 15-year-old mind in a 19-year-old body certainly passed Laurel's scrutiny. A thousand-year-old immortal in a body that LOOKS only 15 won't pass -- her rule IIRC is that players must not physically appear underage.
