This isn't a comment about you, Av, or your friend. But as I read what you wrote what comes to my mind is all the women who constantly cope with the inadequacies of their husbands. They manage to stay hot with them even though half the time they behave like big boys and not men with responsibilities. Just sharing my response to the scenario you gave us.

My vote on the question is NO. For so many women sex needs to be an expression of emotional attachment at some level.
