So here's a weird one: I posted a story that uses symbols to indicate the transitions between scenes:

####

When the story went up, all the scene transitions were missing on several of the pages, but there's still one of them visible on page 2. If they were ALL gone, I would understand. That would be the formatting eating my scene breaks. But it's just ALMOST all of them, and I can't explain that at all.

There's been a glitch over the last few days in the way the site processes html, that appears to affect stories with formatting like yours.

Whether it corrects itself eventually, I don't know.

There's a thread in the AH about it.

Similar thing happened to me. I could have sworn that I had added a <hr> and bolded the notes at the end of the first story I posted to separate them from the main text, but I looked back at it a couple of days ago and saw that those are no longer there. Weird.

So we've narrowed it down. The center aligned text gets hidden in most cases when you switch from one page to another in a story. It does not matter whether you use html or document formatting, it's a display error on the Literotica side.

Further we've established that at least some of the moderators don't know it's happening. I submitted a chapter with everything left aligned and a note that it was because of the bug, and I got it sent back:

Dear Writer,

Thank you for your submission to Literotica. We appreciate the time and effort you've taken to write a story and submit it to our site . However, we've found that we cannot post your submission in its current form. The checklist below may help you in re-examining your manuscript.

  • <center></center> -->> Hello! To use the center alignment, kindly use the corresponding HTML codes. Thanks!

Oh dear. So it looks like it's not going to be fixed any time soon. Scene breaks are just intermittently broken for the foreseeable future.
