Ok, since I like to try and find out what kinds of things people like other than sex, and I notice alot of people I didn't know from my first time at Lit, what's the most fun you've had at a non-sexual public event that took place recently? I suppose, I should put down a guideline, we'll say, in the last year or so. So, what was it, and why was it so much fun?
I suppose if I'm gonna ask, I should include my answer as well. The most fun I've recently had is during last year's NBA Playoffs. I'm an avid Sixers fan, have season tickets, suffered through some terrible years of horrible basketball, and was rewarded for my futile cheers of pathetic season's past with one hell of a post season run, all the way to the NBA Finals. Not one, but two seventh games at the FU center for me to cheer my team, laugh, scream, jump up and down, bite my nails, you name it, the range of emotions was all there. I guess it was so much fun because it wasn't just me that felt it, it was the whole region. The team was special to us...guys playing with broken bones, pulled and torn muscles, it just didn't matter. The energy in the arena for those games was electric, I stil lget goosebumps thinking about the roar as Iverson got his MVP trophy, Vince Carter's missed a last secon shot in a deciding Game 7 and the party in the stands, or the complete shutdown of South Philly as the Sixers defeated the Bucks in yet another game 7 showdown...horns honking, cars at a standstill, dancing, hugging, crying with strangers. Cops on horses giving high fives to people through open windows and sun roofs, fireworks erupting from parking lots. So they didn't win the Finals, and they might not make it back this year...so what? I'll never forget that run, or how I felt being there in person to witness it.
