I didn't read the whole story, but skimmed parts of it. She says that all of this is going to happen beginning May 2001. If what she says is true, she is very disturbed & may be in for a disappointment if too many people read it. She tells how she plans to have insurance pay for it, the whole nine yards. How did you find that Laurel?

Was reading a BB on some community site (forget where), and on one thread there was discussion about the "devotee community". WTF is that? I asked myself. Did a search. Turns out there's a whole group of people who call themselves "amputee devotees". They seem to be turned on by people missing limbs. There are whole sites set up to match up "devotees" with "amputees".

That's cool with me...I mean, amputees need love, too. It's a bit strange to be so fixated that you need your mate to be missing limbs, but there are men who MUST date women with big boobs, or women who adore tall guys, so I guess it's just a preference of sorts.

Anyhow, somewhere in my search I came across that girl's page. I try to be open-minded, but I have to draw the line there. She likens her proposed "augmentation" to breast jobs or nose jobs. Well, a boob job doesn't impair your ability to function in society. Chopping of your hands sure as shit does. How insulting that page must be to those who've lost their hands in accidents, who'd kill to have those perfectly good hands she so willingly throws away. What a fucking nutcase.

That was just plain YUCK! I know people who have lost limbs due to war, accidents, or were born without a limb...to want to voluntarily WANT to give up a limb is sick...(just my opinion)
