We've all been rejected. (At least I hope it's 'all,' because I'd hate to feel alone on this one. ) Whether it be for a first date or outright sex or something in between, most of the turn downs are pretty lame cliches -- "I have a boyfriend," or the "headache" thing or ... dozens of others, most of them outright lies.

I've started to look for style in the turndowns. You know, the potential other who goes out of her/his (I'm assuming women will have some nominations, too) way to come up with something original.

What's the most memorable, perplexing, confusing, or creative rejection you've gotten?

My nominee:

She: "Oh, I'm sorry, but my horse has TB."
Me: "Well, maybe next week?"
She: "My horse will still have TB."

:p :p

To be honest, I actually don't know. Though not wanting to sound arrogant, I've never been turned down, as of yet.

Must be something in my genes.

It's a riot that it worked! Not very persistent guys, I guess ... my friends and I would have thought that a challenge .... guess that might explain another reason for all the turndowns.

Most guys did see it as a challenge
]I can't even tell you how many guys tried to get inmy pants once it got around that that I wasn't going ot have sex. It was like a badge of honor they all tried to get. They evenhad bets going about who would get me to give in.
little do they know, the one who finally got inmy pants would have never disrespected me that way. He just wanted to make me feel good.

For some reason guy swere lining up for me. Iwasn't popular, I guess they all just thought they were the ONE. I had proposals every two weeks, candy flowers. . .I wonder how they got the idea that I was a whore. I didn't start giving blow jobs til I was almost married.?

Well I also have a large family of men that were very upset that my mom married my step dad. They figured if they couldn't have me no one would. My hubby just slipped past them. He wasn't what they would have considered my type.

So are either of you lovely ladies ever the victim of the turndown? Or am I, like svet says, the only one it happens to .... don't think so.

Afuckingmazing. I think I"m going to get drunk now.

Softouch.

I always liked to be caught. So I never really asked any one anything except my hubby. If It makes you feel better, I'm sure I would have been shot down if I ever got up the nerve to talk to my crush. But I didn't.

sottouch, if its any consolation, I think many people ano here are victims of getting shot down.

Okay, wait, I have one.

Been dating this guy for three months, pretty in love with him. He dumps me for one of my friends. BEcause he "needed" sex. WHY DIDN"T HE ASK ME? Who knows, but I probably would have put out for him. I think it was b/c she was thinner.

That's just rude. Maybe guys aren't creative with the turndowns.

Softouch

Did either of you ever feel the need to come up with a creative rejection? Or did you stay with the tried and true?

Softouch -- always gives it a shot.

I really didn't get asked out much before I got married. But I do have sort of a funny one.

I work in a restaurant. I usually work in the drive through. Well a couple of months ago I was handing a bag out to one of my regulars (3 teanage boys on there way to school). One of the boys was proped up against the pasengerside window with his hand resting on his cheek and that elbow on the door, facing me. The driver asked if he could have some ketchup. After handing him the ketchup the perfectly posed boy asked "can I get your number?". I swear it was right out of a high school girls fantasy. I didn't know what to say, so I just giggled (which I do a lot) and let the window close. They never came back, and since then I've gotten at least one request a month! I wasn't this popular when I was in highschool. But it is running off all my regs.

LOL.

I wonder what's changed! I remember thinking I was cool, too.

Softouch

I never was cool. And I really don't think of myself as a hottie by any means. Guess I just put of that innocent charm. Every one wants to corrupt me. :D
