"Did you meet that hot succubus while you were down there?", i asked. "Oh yeah", said scorpion, in a very dirty way. "Did you get tickets to the football game" I asked, "Harpies versus hell hounds game you mean, yeah, I got tickets", said Scorpion proudly. "Thats good to hear", I said. We then sat silently for a few minutes.

I 'ave the advatange, she doesn' know she'll be fightin' meh first in the tournament. Ah'm gunna enjoy killin' 'er more than I did her partner. Hahaha. She doesn' stand a chance.

[Kano grins evilly and walks away.]

I turn and see Johnny Cage standing beside me, smiling.

I really don't need this crap today. Rolling my eyes, I look in the opposite direction. I try to ignore him but it's damn hard with him standing so close. I can't allow the attraction I feel to him to get in the way of what I came to do.

"What do you want?", hoping he can tell by my tone that I really don't want to be bothered right now.

When he doesn't leave, I turn to face him. He's raised his eyebrow, so I know he got the message. Facing him was the wrong thing to do. It would be so easy for me to get distracted. I catch myself staring at his mouth. Irritated that my body is starting to betray me, I snap at him.

"Well?"

Crossing my arms over my chest, I wait for him to state his business while surreptiously trying to watch the entrances for Kano's arrival.

I know that I am taking liberties a bit with Sub-Zero's cold powers here, but rest assured, other than the henchman of Kano's that he killed (who is, after all, a henchamn only) I will not use this offensively other than to surprise. In other words I will not post that *a blast of ice comes and all of a sudden Sub-Zero is there with an icy fist punched through Johnny Cage's chest, Johnny slowly freezes and explodes*... or anything like that. If I go way too over the line in your opinion , tell me.

[Other fighters began to arrive. A bunch of nobodies who won't make it past the 1st round of the tournament. Johnny ignores the gathering crowd, focusing on Sonya. Johnny noticed how Sonya was looking at him. He knew she was attracted to him, at least in a physical sense, thought not emotionally. He smiled.]

Johnny Cage: Aren't we being a bit defensive? Listen I know you're thinking about Kano right now. I know how bad you wanna get him for what he did to your partner. I understand. But he's not here yet. There's no reason to get all worked up over nothing. He'll be here soon enough and I'll help you bring him down. But until then, relax. Don't let Kano get the better of you. That's exactly what he wants. He WANTS you to be worried.

[Johnny paused for a moment, and at the risk of getting slapped he brushed Sonya's hair out of her face, in a caring gesture.]

Johnny Cage: Listen, I don't know about you but between Toad-Face eating raw flesh and Frosty the Snowman giving me the 3rd Degree I'm gettin' tired of this place. I'm not all that hungry anyway and Shang Tsung or Lang Tung or Cow Dung or whatever his name is hasn't arrived yet. So whaddya' say you and mean go for a walk, get away from all this confusion for a few minutes and just talk. We'll be back in time. Whaddya' say?

I get a huge chill.

I look around to figure out who said it but the only person near me is Johnny, and I know it wasn't him. I realize Johnny's talking to me.

I try to keep a staight face as I hear his description of what's going on. Looking around the room to make sure Kano hadn't snuck in while I had been distracted, I relent. It would be good to get out for a few minutes, especially considering the weird crap that had just happened. I put my hand out in an 'after you' gesture.

"No, milady...after you," Johnny states as he produces a big bow. Trying to hide my smile, I head towards the door.

Being the evil character I was, I decided to follow Sonya, and Johnny Cage. I silently slide across the floor without making a sound. I also stopped my hissing.

The air gets noticeably chillier around Reptile as he follows the two fighters out of the room, a patina of frost forms on the floor before him. Etched in the frost is a short message:

Meet me up above, Reptile. Where the second tower peaks. I have a proposition that could be...mutually beneficial.

The cold fades and the frost melts into the flagstones.

I read the message written in ice. I didn't like it, it sounded dirty. Perhaps Sub-Zero also wanted some Sonya ass, but there was only one way to find out. Using my reptile abilities, I daintly climb to the top of the tower, and await Sub-Zero's proposition.

I was glad when we made it outside. It was beginning to get a little stuffy in there. Besides, I was getting just a tad bit impatient waiting on Kano's arrival.

We walked for a couple of minutes in silence. I continue to feel a strong attraction to the man walking beside me. Although I keep my eyes plastered to the ground as we walk, I can feel him watching me. I KNOW I can't allow this to happen, which causes me to become angry with myself. Becoming irritated at the situation, I take it out on the gorgeous creature walking beside me.

"Look, I don't know what you want Johnny Cage but I'm not here for a fling. My only agenda is Kano. As soon as I arrest him, I'm out of here."

Raising my eyes, I look at him to see a surprised expression on his face.

I don't know how long I'll be able to keep this man at a distance but it was definitely a lot harder than I had originally anticipated. Trying to hide how he was affecting me, I cross my arms across my chest to wait on his response.

I'll be Jade Now as not much is known about her I'll improvise, all I know I've gotten from the movies, a couple of fan sites and 1 or 2 episodes of the TV series. So obviously not much about Jade herself

Jade stepped in the area quiet and staying primarily in the shadows of the others. As most everyone else made a big procession as they came in she found it fairly easy to stay out of the limelight. Her orders were to observe... so far.

Sub-Zero had some time before Reptile reached the tower, he sensed a new presence and went to investigate. After searching for a short time he saw the shadow that was not and drew close to Jade.

One of your talents could be a considerable ally. Please, come to the summit of the second tower in thirty minutes time.

With that Sub-Zero silently padded away, the chill in the air sucked away behind him.
