Morris Dancing - Telling a Story or just prancing around?

I'm not much of a fan of dancing anyhow, and Ithink the only way this would interest me would be if the dancers were sexy women, preferably scantily clad.

Yo. But the ale was good. And the music.

Morris Dancing?

Is that anything like the Fish Slapping Dance?

Or the Boogaloo?

Another pint my good fellow! :D

Shame on you, Og.

Morris dancing is one of our ancient British traditions, incomprehensible probably even to those dancing it.

I personally love watching morris men - and women - we have a female group locally who are prominent on St. George's Day, and I've watched them and the local men's group several times. Very enjoyable in terms of the whole effect, music and movement. I don't give a fuck what the story is, I just enjoy it. All very toe-tapping, especially with a glass of good ale in hand.

Roll on April.

I think part of being human is doing incomprehensible things for the sake of doing them in company. Their little story was a bit odd, however, it certainly was incomprehensible, so that's all right.

That's a lovely statement. If there's a list somewhere comprising what makes us human, I'd add that.
