It has always been my belief that that the thing that makes teachers stay or go where they truely are needed are not incentives are not money are not rewards.

it is something that cannot be taught in college, cannot be given by a union or an employer.

that thing is heart, a genuine concern for the students.

without a heart a teacher is merely a living text book only doling out the required answers

I'm truly struggling to understand why anyone would be a teacher without that concern for students.


And why would a teacher with that concern, who has stated that concern, shown that concern then abandon it?

I think the answers are both simpler and more complex than anyone wants to admit.

your quite right

i feel sometimes that heart is confused with prestige when viewed from afar, and once viewed from up close the prestidge shines through and the money and position become the goal.
i ain't making any sense am i it's after midnoght, i can't grab the words i want to use.

think of it like lust and love, often we first fall in lust with something but mistake it for love until we grow closer to that object then realize our love is only lust and we move on to the the next object of lust/love until we maybe someday eventually find the lovewe are looking for.
