I’ll admit I read the personals section for the sheer amusement or craziness they offered. I made a few interesting Connections through CL. It always provided an avenue to meet new people. There were definitely some crazies but the most interesting reads were missed connections. Once in a while I would answer them and could always count on a fascinating back story. One of them turned into a regular lunch buddy.

My experience in CL might be a bit different since I am not in the US. For starter, it was not very popular within the locals so most of the posters are foreigner OR ladies (genuine and pro) who wants to meet caucasian guys. Yes, they put it blatantly like that, mostly with broken english. Oh the irony.

Secondly, those ladies want to meet caucasian with the understanding that those guys have money. So even though they wont charge you to fuck them, they will expect you to buy them nice dinner, take you to nice hotel or if the guys are based here, nice apartment/house where they can enjoy the facility. Don't be surprise to find some ladies keep their bikini in their purse so they can have their sunbath session the next day.

Thirdly with above situation, the posters on m4w section are either bitter and rude, (I am not caucasian, fuck u and your pinkerton syndrome, or, I am not gonna give you anything. The casual section of CL was where most of the pros posted though there were some in the W4M section. The ratio of men to women is the same, with men far outnumbering the women. If a guy posts an Ad it would be a couple of pages down in an hour.

The guys in the US would have been in heaven if the women here posted such Ads here.
