More Texans would support Matthew McConaughey for governor over Greg Abbott

He's to the right of Mao though, Democrats will come unhinged if Texas elected him.

I'm sure they would rightfully embrace a right-leaning Democrat over the current moronic Republitard.

A "right-leaning" Democrat is just a "progressive" still in the closet about how "progressive" they are.....and still an authoritarian leftist.

Also, no.....it's Texas, not Minnesota.

I'm down with that. I envy his chill.

He is just a cool guy. No other actor has his coolness down packed.

I'm a sucker for his accent as well.

He's definitely smarter than the current man in office at that state.

He’s already too cool for hisownself. He’ll probably become insufferable just talking about running.

And wash your hair, dude.

Still will be Texass no matter who wins. Right there with Florida

Awww people living ways you don't like.....poor thing....if only you were Dear Leader you could FORCE progress right down their throats of the whole WORLD!!!! :D

LOL what an absolutely psychotic control freak.

The Republicans who have run the state of Texas since the late 90's are doing their best to turn the clock back to the 1700s-1800's when women were nothing but chattel. They love to cut taxes and raise fees on services while not being able to fully fund schools. Republicans are nothing more than power hungry greedy parasites.

Like you talk about Cali and NY, ya hypocritical dumbfuck.

You mean my full support for them living the way they want to live in their state??

LOL :D

I'm not the one who absolutely RAGES over other people in other states voting to do not toing a partisan line.

That would be why there is no hypocrisy on my part.

*edited for all the lies* Republicans are nothing more than power hungry greedy parasites.

So then why is it the Democrats who insist on centralized control of everything and taking a significantly larger portion of my wealth by force???

The love for the actor fades
once the thoughts of the politician are made clear.

We already learned that from AHnold and the California experience.

He couldn't do any worse than a reality tv personality that stood by and watched 500,000 americans die while pushing lies.

Someone on another board said "It's simultaneously a terrible idea and a vast improvement over the current occupant."

It’s not uncommon to see early polls that favor popular celebrities that float potential runs for elective office. Things change when the celebrity has to take positions, do interviews, field attacks from the other side, and run a real campaign. Not saying this one has no chance. He’s a likable actor, popular in TX (especially among Longhorn fans) and is well spoken. Just too soon to attach much meaning to this poll.
