There have been several good conversations on here about inspiration. I would like to share my recent experience.
The last couple of weeks I have been very busy with both a trip of my own and then others visiting up where I live. There was someone special that I expected to VERY much enjoy reconnecting with.
And I did, but not in the way I expected. Nothing happened beyond a peck on the cheek or a hug. What I did get was chance to spend time with someone I cared about even if nothing happened outside my thoughts.
Which brings me to my point and the lesson I learned-what we DO has less to do with inspiration than what we FEEL. I could have possibly used some real-life experiences interspersed into a story, which may have worked. Instead I have a head of steam so built up from emotion it will probably keep me writing for months.
