these are they.

I know one of Slyc's is there (TMA agent Moon) so there are probably lots of others. I've already PMed Laurel about it so fluff up you egos quick and find out if you're worth stealing before she has them pulled.

That one's been around for a while. Probably another one of those Chinese/Russian ones that are hard as hell to take down.

I think I recognize a couple of titles, but the author names have been stripped.

I resisted clicking on the Pokemon story, but the title is intriguing.

Woohoo! Holy hot dam!

I just found one of mine :D

Why am I happy about this?

I got lucky - I chose a cateogry to search that's in a weird semi reverse alphabetical order. Made it easier. Some of the others are a total mess.
God, can you imagine if you wanted to read a particular story there? You'd never find it.

I checked a few pages for Over the Sink, but I got tired of searching for it.

Qing Dao is a real place, as well as the name of a Chinese beer, but maybe the registrar might be the best line of attack...

whois is a good way to start to collect info (as Laurel no doubt is well aware).

Of course, you could ring and reverse the charges... ('call collect' if my UK->US translation is accurate) :D

If you really want to search it, just use Google. Search for:

your story title site:1570.info

The numbskull isn't changing the title, and posts the first page ( and only the first page ) exactly as it appears on Lit.

Author's Notes:

This story is erotic fantasy, set in a world of magic. I reserve the right to be listed as the author of this work wherever it is posted. If found anywhere except Literotica.com with this note attached, this story is posted without my permission.

Exactly as it appears.

Most of these thieves don't even look at what they're stealing. Put your pen name and Literotica.com at the top of every story, and at least people who stumble through these badly constructed, hard to get rid of thieving sites can find the whole story, and the rest of your work.

Saw a good title there: 'Caught Wet Handed'. Why didn't I think of that?

At least two of mine are there. The first one in its entirety, right down to the end note saying there are other similar stories in my submissions.
The second one cuts out after six and a half pars.

There's a lot of that going around tonight, please forgive the hijack, but I thought maybe it'd be easier if it was all in one thread.

This one came to me via a heads up from a friend of mine who is a member, who assures me it's one of mine. I can't get in to verify it, since I won't pay for it, but I can find it on the story list.

There are at least 3 other titles I've found that are written by Lit Buds, (you can search for titles, but you can't view the tales unless you've paid) so I've PMd the authors as well as Laurel.

I saw a couple of mine on the first one, but none on the one Ciara put up. That's not a threadjack, by the way, because it's on the same subject.

Thanks for the vigilance, Gauche.

I know I posted once that it doesn't really bother me if my work is pirated. But I have to admit that I searched through their database of stories, looking for mine (didn't find it; maybe they pulled it already?).

The one thing that sort of puts me at ease is that most of the stories remain attributed to the original Lit author. I saw an awful lot of stories by MungoPark on the site, as well as ones from BFW, secretme, DK and Box. Those were all atrributed. Conversely, it bothers me that quite a few stories did not have the original author's name attached, and I'm pretty sure I saw some of them on Lit.

As an aside: don't feel too flattered, Starr. They even ripped off our beloved self-agrandizing jerk prince of Incest, too

Mine were unattributed.
I'm not flattered, not sure what I am. Somehow there's a perverse sense of achievement in being ripped off, particularly having it passed off as someone else's. And I really don't know why.

Because it's a way of being recognized that you're good enough to be plagiarized. I know the feeling. I remember a professor of mine once who whined about some of his contemporaries being plagiarized, but never him. He took that as an insult.

Plagiarists only steal the good stuff ;)

Still, I hope you PMed Laurel.
