I may have to apologize for being old fashioned about this, but: I don't like stories that have as their motive to get the women pregnant. Because: there will be a baby created, who will need care, nurture, and many years of child raising. And if the mom to be is single, that is a difficult and precarious situation for both mother and child. So...ok, unless the couple involved are married and/or plan to raise that child together, those kinds of stories just don't work for me.

Yes, I have read those stories where the women convinces her husband that the child is his when it is not. That is not likely to work in the first place, and places deceit squarely in the middle of the marriage and child raising. Tough stuff, just don't like it. My opinion...

How about

1. Two women, one of whom is a scientist, has been married for a couple of years and want to start a family. Scientist is discussing adoption or a sperm donor but her wife is a bit reluctant. While she knows the impracticality of her request, she always wanted to carry her partner's child. She knows it's silly and would love any child but-well that thought gets interrupted by her partner sprinting down to her lab and sequestering herself for a couple of days. When she comes back, she's limping and wearing a strap on which can contain and release liquids. Turns out she just came up with a breakthrough for creating sperm from blood marrow and while it hurt like hell to extract it, she's made enough to get her wife pregnant. Several days of fucking later and the conception is all but certain.

for a twist, wife wants a turn using the strap-on. There shouldn't be a problem, the reserves shouldd be empty...should being the key word. One spurt at the end though and scientist ends up pregnant with her own clone.

Just a brief spark of an idea:

A lesbian couple decides that they're ready to start a family. For some plot-related reason or another, the idea of adoption isn't considered. One of the women, let's call her Maggie, has a close male friend/confidant; the type of friend she'd take a bullet for (as many of us have). The two of them discuss it with Bill, and explain that they'd want him to be the father of their child, and they're willing to conceive the child through "regular" methods.

How about a close male relative? Like a brother, or even a fraternal twin? That would be about as close a DNA match as you could get, and the offspring could truly belong to both partners. One of the lesbian couple, Maggie, asks her brother, Mikey, to knock up her wife, Penelope. Of course, we run into difficulties when Penelope has trouble getting turned on by Mikey, him not being a girl and all. So Maggie has to get in bed with them and help rev up Penelope's libido. What could possibly go wrong here?

For extra fun, Maggie doesn't have a brother, but she does have an open-minded and still-quite-virile dad......

IMHO humans are wired for it; those lacking it tend to be ill-represented in the genepool. Basically, if you're hot to impregnate or be impregnated, your DNA will flourish. If not, it's hello, extinction. Chastity is the most obscene perversion.

as I read just the first line I thought she became the surrogate for the wife, who can't conceive. She moves in with them, and a triad is created...
