Maybe telling us who or what is behind the cult, why... we can come up with the settings as easy as "fictional town" in a grow spurt is luring families that want new and fresh start, maybe tired of the city's way of life.

As for the cult, we kinda need more elements and information to shape it, ghosts, demons, even satan, but we need some who and why to give it shape and keep the suspense of disbelief for people to believe. It's a "story" and not a "fantasy", right?
And don't get me wrong, I didn't mean "fantasy" the genre, I mean "fantasy" the personal fantasy like those in adult fan fiction...

What if the mom and son were recruited into the sex cult the way most people join cults, through the friendly front, need to belong, marketing, etc. By the time they're driven, bit by bit, into committing incest, they feel like there's no going back. From there they only fall deeper into the sex cult. At the end they're the ones selling the cult to their neighbors. But are the mother and son really happy?
