In the American party system, nobody but pols actually "belong" to them anyway -- no party dues, no party cards, and registering as D or R only means you get to vote in that party's primary, where applicable.

What matters, however, is that conservatives, irrespective of party identification, are worthless people -- at least, the ones where you live are.

I belonged to an AFLCIO construction union for many years, the peasants all voted GOP. The bosses belonged to the contractors. Our Washington leadership stole the pension fund. After they got outta prison the Supremes ruled they were eligible for pensions.

30 years ago a union had no hope in this county because every pol was Republican. The pols are still Republicans but all the public employees are union because the unions pay off the pols.

Except that the Communist Party USA of the 1950s wanted actual, you know, proletarian revolution and classless society and a state-owned economy and Communism and shit (all of which even the Communist Party USA seems to have pretty much dropped, by now). The Dems today are far too hand-in-glove with Wall Street for any of that.
