moderated comments

Could someone at Lit help me understand why all my comments on stories, including responses to comments on my own stories, are going into a que for approval before posting? I have done nothing that would cause such and I am not really disturbed by it but I'd like to know the reason.

You didn't technically do anything to cause it, that's just how commenting works. My understanding is that the comments need to be approved before posting to prevent spammers from junking up the website.

About a year ago there was a problem with bots leaving spam comments on tons of different stories.

Since then, comments have to be approved first. It filters out the spamming.
