Mixed tapes for Litsters

Bf showed up with two music mixes he had made for me. They're so neat. He gives me a CD with a mind blowing selection of music every few months, just out of the blue.

And, screw it, I'm not calling it a mixed CD. It's a mixed tape. It will always be a mixed tape. You 20-year-olds who have only made "mixed USB thumb flash drives" don't know what you're missing with mixed tapes, which were crackly and came with voiced-over intros and sometimes had random dialog inserted into the middle to explain or narrate the meaning of a song. I miss the low-fi sound of them.

Someone give you a mixed tape? Post it here. I'll post Roadhead's, gotta look for the songs on The Youtube first, though.

If it weren't so tomato seed level creepy, I'd offer to make and send mixed tapes to my favorite Litsters.

You can send me your tape. I mailed a few cd's on request a few years ago, but nobody sent me anything in return. You won't find my songs on utube.

Oh, that would be neatorific. You know what I'd love to do? Make you and LB a make out mixed tape.

Just discovered her via bf's tapes. He's a big fan. He said he has "hundreds and hundreds" of her songs. Now that he knows I like her, I'm sure she'll be in my heavy rotation soon. She's hellaciously talented.

I think I did sing on this one. That may have been the problem.
 
A boyfriend gave me a mix tape once way back in the day but I don't care for music all that much so I turned it off partway into the first song that I had never heard of and didn't like. I told him I thought it was all very good and he offered to make another. We broke up soon after that.

We sang that in the car last night on our way to the supplement store for fish oil and melatonin. Yeah, we are old.

More than once I knew I wanted to dump a guy after listening to his mixed tape. One of the guys turned out to be gay (and now we are great friends and have both moved to the same town). His mixed tape had Erasure, Yaz, OMD, Tears for Fears and Depeche Mode. Yeah. Like that wasn't obvious.

I was old when I was in my twenties.

I regularly make CDs for lady friends... Sometimes they like them, and sometimes they have bad taste in music.

Also; who the hell doesn't "like music"? That's some ridiculous shit there.

I think I missed them completely, I am not even sure what they sing. If they came out in 2002-2005, those were the years I listened to a lot of effing disney radio.
