if you don't like an argument you can always do like some kids: plug your ears and start singing loudly.
See that is the problem here Pure, you seem to think that this thread is a place to argue or debate.
I happen to think its a place where people can share, and learn. This is a cool thread till you came in and tried to mentally push your view about what "serve" means down peoples throat. But thanks for giving us all a perfect example of why a thread like this is neccessary.
You try to use your high intellect as a means to dominate, but here's a clue buddy, the reality is your just rude. No wonder many people told me not to try to engage in a sincere conversation with you, as you don't really want to help other people, nor are you content to just share how you see things, you just want to feel intellectually superior by trying to make others look bad.
Police officers "Protect and Serve" Marines "Serve" their country(which I did for 8 years) and I could list other ways people serve in noble and honorable ways other people. You prefer a more strict definition of the word "serve" I prefer a more philsophical one.
"Then can they agree to use one or the other's terms, or a neutral set of terms, and proceed, if they're sincere, to deal with the issues."
You have never been "sincere" from post one to deal with the issues, you have only sought to create issues. Else you would have seen the spirit and not the letter of what I was saying.
I can agree that serve has many submissive contations and definitions, and I never argued that. I did say people who like to serve OR help other people are not neccessarily submissive, and I still believe that is true.
I didn't plug my ears and start singing loudly, bit as far as futher exchanges with you on this forum, I think I will take other peoples advice and won't.
