Misspellings in business

That just drives me nutty! How ignorant can a company be to actually advertise its own stupidity.

I totally agree with you. If they can't spell-check their ad, then how much quality goes into their service?

*sits back and waits for someone to come along and ask which word is misspelt*

;)

WHAT WORD IS MISPEELED I AM SPEELINGLY CHALLENGED I DO NOT GOT WHAT is So Fun hahaha ny

I thought you are going to acuse me of being a whore or something. Laughing out loud.

Induce

Spelling miscake is a major turn off.

Sorry, minx. I would have answered you earlier, if I had been paying attention. I was being called a typo-Nazi at the moment...

While I Was In Florida

We Drove Into Miami Twice, And Each Time We Passed A Signmaking Company That Had Misspelled And Rickety Old Signs For Their Business! LOL

Whoever Made The Bidet Kings Signs Should Have Given These Dudes Some Pointers:D

There are two signs in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in which the actual NAME of the place is misspelled!

There's a Family Dinning and also an auto-repair shop that couldn't spell one of the auto parts correctly.

*cough* Typo nazi

uhh..

So do you guys like drive around and look for misspell words? Cause I know when I drive my head is firmly up my ass where it is most of the time. As for not shopping at said places, well the dinner I guess I could see. The one posted above you can't hold that against the company for starters I am going to guess it was made my a graphic designer company however, they really should of caught this. Cause I know the place I work our designs go through a lot of well inspection for such things. The design then goes to the company buying it and well more inspection rather amazing it slipped by that many people but I guess if you didn’t know better to look.

I can't help but proof-read as I read. I can't turn it off actually. It gets annoying sometimes.

Ahh I wish I had that lets just say it isn’t pleasant to create a design around say several words then have some one point out you spelt that word wrong. LOL That little mistake can end up in trashing a seven hour piece of work you would have thought I might have learned my lesson! Well we all can’t be great spellers can we, Oh And is misspelt wrong cause it seems like it, Oh wait that’s not a word is it? *grins*

LOL

Well, when you're in college to be an engineer and a small type can be the different between letter grades for a Final Paper that's 10-20 pages long, you tend to read with a very inspectful eye.

I make typos quite a bit, but if I'm reading something, I tend to notice that kind of thing.

I completely agree....I say I'm an English teacher in a Psych student's body....I can't help but notice spelling and grammar mistakes. The ice cream store I used to work for advertised this on their sign: We have: Sundae's Ice Cream Cone's....in other words everything that ended in "s" had an apostrophe...Why didn't someone notice that when they designed the sign...At least when they misspell on the other sign they can rearrange the letters....this one is permanent.

You would think that literacy would be a prerequisite for being a sign-maker.

One thing I hate about threads like this is that I really feel dumb if I make a typo.

:D

was driving from out of Polk County, TN to Murphy, NC..I had to turn around just to make sure I saw the sign correctly. "get yer booled peenuts here" I was like no thanks, I can piss on myself for free :D
