When I put this av together, my first thought was; "Ooh, Shanglan is going to like this!" Well, maybe that was my second thought. But I think about the horsey just about every day, I really do.

Oh dear lord. I need a team of stable boys just to fan me. Stella, it's stunning.

You're all so awfully kind. It leaves me really at a loss for words, other than thinking warmest thanks to the kind spirit who directed me hither (and associated goslings, llamas, German Shepherd dogs, and purveyors of horsey treats). It's good to see you all, and I hope to see more of you now that my employer no longer has me by the bearing reins. I'm catching up with some family obligations, but am getting more time at last - and discovering the joys of the five-act dramatic structure. Fascinating stuff!

So what have all of you been up to? Do give us the juiciest bits.

I have two e-books out. You can find them in my sig. I've got another to be released in August. And I've contracted for another.

I made it to Chicago for a Lit-together.

That's pretty much it.

Let's see. I got fired from my job, went back to school, and wrecked my car. I aced my first set of exams. I woke up this morning and realized I'm restless and anxious because I haven't been writing so I'm going through WIPs I left hanging to see if anything grabs me. How are you? I've missed you so very much.

It was the first thing that made it to market.

I was at a chat promoting Discovery. One of the participants is the co-owner of Aspen Mountain Press. They said they were looking for vampire stories. So I directed them here, telling them I'd be putting them together in an anthology. They e-mailed me a couple of days later expressing impatience.

When I sent the manuscript they sent the contract the next day. The work was out within a month.

Oh, it was formal, all right-- we all did a ton of shopping. and many slutty gowns were worn by lovely women.
Abs and Vana were Prom King and Queen on the big night

I wore a zoot suit, ended up on the roof with a girl I hardly knew-- woke up in the morning with a brand new tattoo on my arse, and a flying monkey stole my phonebook. I had to hitchhike home. It was a night of inimitable AH magic.

We ought to hold a virtual ball or cocktail party or something, to celebrate your return.
