This is what happens when you try to read A Brief History...

Or maybe I didn't miss it and he just didn't want to let us know in case we all crashed the do.

Perhaps the politics and waffle and general shite that passes for a thread these days just bumped the thread off the page before I caught it.

When did you get married The? And who is your wife?

ETA /partner/S.O/lifemate/or whatever the fuck they call them these days

Well, Hawking in question... nothing shites in the box, at least nothing shites when you don't observe it?

Evening Gauche. Good to see you again.

I got married July last year. My wife is someone whom I've been friends with for years, but only relatively recently discovered how delicious she is to kiss. She's popped up on here once or twice under the s/n HisLady, but I guess the place didn't take for her like it has for all of us, so she's not a regular.

I did consider starting a thread, but decided it would be a bit egocentric, considering I'm only an occasional visitor to this place nowadays and decided to just restrained myself to mentioning it occasionally as I passed by.

Anyway, how's your end of the world?

An aside, Gauche. Sorry.

CONGRATS EARL!

Ah, the delightful HisLady (pronounced hizla-dee) You monkey.

TheEarl? Egocentric? Heaven forfend.

Life up-north is self explanatory (viz: grim) but you know that anyway, being a soft southerner. Happy congratulations The. And as Charley will no doubt attest: being married is great

Charley. Two things:

1. Never apologise.
2. In the great scheme of things; it dunt marrer.

(rant)When did the AH become Babylon? (in the biblical sense) Cry as I might I do actually accept that 'authors' have as much right to talk about shite as anyone else. Indeed it would be a pretty poor kind of way to spend an evening talking only about moral imperatives in 'Sons and Lovers' or why a leif motif of classical Freudian sexual imbalance appears not only in the incest but also loving wives categories. But come on, authors meandering on about what name to give a new dog that they rescued from the pound? Gimme a break.(/rant)

Agreed actually. The board seems to be getting more and more self-involved every time I come back. Don't get me wrong, the company is great and the ambience is still top-notch, but it feels like reading lots of interconnected blogs.

The depressing thing is that I have nothing to say that would possibly improve the quality.

I've missed you. :)

If it had become Babylon, I'd be the first Canadian to yell, 'WHORE, AYE'. Sadly, no Babylon here.

I agree. But what can we do to turn the AH from being general board?

That made me smile, which is a valid measure of forum quality.

Congratulations on your marriage, and welcome back.

Hubris would be a good name for a dog.

There are at least two things we can do:

1) Spell cumming with no more than two m's.

2) Continue to express concern about the AH's degeneration into something akin to the General Board. The identity crisis remains a distinguishing feature of this board.

You've been reading DeBono haven't you?

1) LOL, this reminds me. Sometimes I read for a company and not for grammar (God forbid), but for things Laurel and Manu watch out for (underage, bestiality and such). Today I came across THE best penetration description:

"His cock was so big that he put it inside me and when I felt it on my clit, I screamed."

lol, Now, the story is written from a female POV, but is this author a guy or a guy who has never had sex? lol

2) Identity crisis is something we Canadians know about! Is the AH Canadian
