Missing Images? Please read

The word from the siteowner is that they remove pictures that are against the rules (https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=346199) when they become aware of them, so it's not a glitch in the system.

Will you please ask them why pics which are NOT against the rules/law are also being deleted?

I can understand if a pic is outlawed but many pics which are not sexual have been removed as well. Now that just doesn't seem right, unless they are/were trying to hide the fact that they are removing pics (which they can no longer do since they finally admitted to doing so). If they did not remove the pics which were within the law, then where did those pics disappear to?

I marked the missing pics on my index ages ago and was then told by a friend some more links had become invalid so I checked again some weeks later and found some more had gone. Now over a month later again I find yet more have gone!!!!

Are the rules changing week by week?? Is more than one person removing pics and therefore more than one subjective opinion being applied to what does and doesn't breach the rules???

How the f%*£ are we supposed to know what we can and can't post if the goal posts keep moving??????

It seems to me that certain people are being picked to have their pics removed, while other posters never have pics removed. I have had pics removed where I was totally clothed.

I'm thinking about moving on and dropping my pic thread all together.

That's a good question . I'm not picking on her. I was just replying to her comment. I have no problem with her at all . . . she happens to be one of my favorites.


The whole issue of the pics being removed does not go for everyone on this site. There are some people here who get their pics remove more than others. I wish someone could tell me . . . Why is it if I post a pic on my thread it is taking down, but if I post that same pic somewhere else it stays up ?

That's alright. I really don't know why a certain few seem to be getting pics taken off more than others. Like I said before, I had pics of myself removed where there was no nudity at all.

i am absolutly sure there is a problem yes i know they have said they are removing obcene pics due to the new laws but there are so many pics staying ( one thread of late is most graphic and all her pics stay) im sure there is a bug aswell as lit's removal

one guy posted several nice sexy erotic non graphic pics one day they were there next gone and two days later they all came back
so i dont think we can blaim one person for removal i just wish they would be honest and actually tell us they have a problem

I have just sent the message below using the "contact us" link at the bottom of each page. Maybe we should all start doing it daily and then we may get a response.

Please please please tell us honestly what is going on. I have posted a pic via photobucket in the "Missing Images - Please Read" thread on the am-pics board. It is of my right foot, a hand, spectacles and a shoe. What bloody law does that break yet it was "removed".

An honest answer would be appreciated but I won't hold my breath.

I am guessing that the "controllers" of Lit are not looking to move it to another country because it would probably be too fucking expensive!!!!!

I had a personal site hosted out of Australia. It's not any more expensive to host overseas than in the states. It's just a PITA for the transfer, especially for a site this size.

Hello All:

Upon returning from my holiday festivities, I found several PMs asking about missing pictures.

Images HAVE been removed that are in violation of Lit's posting guidelines. A reminder of those guidelines can be found here:

The laws have changed, and Lit has had to change along with them, or risk being shut down for violating those laws. As those that run Lit do not want the site shut down (and I hope that you don't either), they have been removing pics as they find them. You can also help with this by a) not posting pics in violation of the guidelines, and b) reporting pics that are in violation as you see them.

Personally, I think it's a shame that the freedom that was had in posting previously (with SOME limitations) is no longer possible. However, if we want to avoid lawsuits, fines, imprisionment, etc. - as well as keep Literotica available to us, this is what we have to live with.

Nah, a lot of the more 'hardcore' images are still dissappearing, as per the regulations.

Which is why I wondered why the site can't be hosted in a more liberal country.

Porn sites get away with it by keeping photo ID of all their subjects. Actual graphic ID tagging their face to their ID card. If they don't, they're in violation of US laws and will be shut down.

Sad but true.

Why not start pic threads with a scan of the drivers license then? Or bury it in the profile? That would seem to satisfy the law, wouldn't it?
