Dom seemed apparently pleased to see her and he lifted her onto his lap. And she was quite happy to be seen by him, his hands on her quite warm.
Yes, it is something we’ll need to definitely control
And then once again he was bringing up that question she had about whether she was really royality. She squirmed a bit, preferring to ignore him and his remarks, though she was glad to not be considered a freak. In a way, it was hard to think that she was a princess. In her mind, she was just Dusty. And it was hard to think that people wanted her dead. That really worried her. And if Dom had not come to her rescue,... She didn't want to think of what the outcome would have been.
A look passed over his face.
I hope that you don’t think any less of me. But it is important that your safety be placed first, no matter the cost.
She laid her head against him. "Dom, you don't understand. I asked you to help me. From the instant that the man appeared, he was using that device in his hands to look for me. Every time I moved he would follow me with it. He was looking for me. So, of course, I don't think any less of you. Not in the least. You saved my life. I kept sending you a mental message for help and I used the word assassin. Did you get any of that? Because I needed you to rescue me. And you did." She threw her arms around him, pressing herself against him. "You rescued me. Thank you so much!" With that, she began kissing him. Little fluttery kisses along his neck, his jaw, his cheek until she reached his lips. Her lips pressed against his, her tongue lightly rimming the inside edge of his mouth, as if to entice, to ask permission to enter. Her fingers, light and sensual, began to run along the nape of his neck, drifting higher as they massaged his scalp. As she broke her kiss, her voice was like a feather, soft against his lips. "I'm very appreciative."
