I know this has been asked before, but until it happened to me, I didn't really pay much attention to this issue:
A newly submitted story of mine, a Sherlock Holmes spoof, was categorized under "Celebrities" (!)
It definitely should be humor and satire.
I'm not sure if famous fictional characters even can be correctly described as celebrities. Is someone playing a joke? I know that there are people who think that Holmes was real. Surely not a lit.com editor though.
Actually the dictionary doesn't say that a celebrity has to be non-fictional, so maybe they're right. It's just that I really don't think someone looking for a Celebrity erotica story would want to read it.
Do I just resubmit, changing the category back to Humor and Satire?
You might want to read it, but only if you love (or hate) Conan Doyle: The Case of the Steaming Turk
