I was talking to a fellow Dom and he was telling me mind games required for the good training of a pet/submissive I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were.

There are mindfucks, and then there are idiotic ideas. Mindfucks can be incredibly fun (if you enjoy that sort of thing); idiotic ideas, tend to simply be... idiotic.

If he was talking about mindfucks, and what yo wrote was the extent of the conversation, he did a piss-poor job (IMO) of explaining them.

I love that kind of stuff in fantasy situations (and taken to intense extremes), but I'd hit the ground running if someone whose middle name I didn't know tried doing something like that to me. My husband is cool, and likes actually doing this, but I've known him for about 5 years.

Emotional/verbal sadism and mindfucks are immense fun, but be very suspicious of someone who tells you it--or anything, really--is "A Requirement".

They can be fun, if you find someone who enjoys them. Definitely wouldn't say that they were necessary, or that they'd work on everyone, but I know some people who find voice incredibly sexy, so anything verbal for them is excellent, all the more so if it messes with their expectations.
