So I have a question for you guys. Is it possible to need the mind control, without being an overly "alpha" personality?

In my personal experience this is a no, but I am writing a story and need some assistance on this question for some character development.

Thanks all!

I don't understand your question. Need mind control without being overly "alpha"?

Seconded...I'm not sure I even understand what's being asked.

Nobody "needs" mind control, really. Some of us like to play with it for sexytimes, and it's a favorite erotica trope, that supposedly is infallible and both a perfect panacea for tightly-wound persons or else the perfect tool for dastardly plans against hapless maidens.

What you read in the stories should always be taken with a grain of salt... or a couple thousand grains of salt, depending.

Oooh I think Stella cleared it up for me. We're talking about "I'm so alpha I can't submit without mind control" except the OP wants to know about not being alpha and still "needing" it?

In that case, yes, you can definitely be into the MC kink without the alpha personality...

I've had mind control fantasies since before I was developed enough to conceive of sex fantasies. "Need" to the level of a fetish, no (fortunately, since MC isn't real!), but it's a major turn-on for me, the fantasy of being mind-controlled. My orientation is very much submissive - definitely no trace of an 'alpha' personality.

Like rape fantasy, MC fantasy is hot because it removes any doubt that the controller dominating you might just playing a game or doing it to cater to your fetish or manipulate you. IRL, you can never, however much you trust the pyl, really be certain the dominance isn't partly just reflecting your own submissive tendencies - no matter how much power you may think you're exchanging, the complexities & give-and-take of human relationships remain. With MC that's all swept away and your loss of control is pure and absolute. The controller doesn't need to take into account what you want or need, nor even be human, for that matter. A controller could be a machine that robotizes you, or an alien just looking for a moist, 98.6 degree place to leave her parasitic offspring...

I was confused by the OP's original question. After all your wonderful replies, the original question is still as clear as mud.

Anything is possible, but with mind control the person controlling, is usually of a dominant personality. I suppose it is possible for somebody to hide the need to control, and pretended to be something they are not, then when they have the persons confidence spring out of the character and become there normal self. Hypnotism has been an interest of mine for a while, also the art of suggestion, if you would like to discuss in more details I use Yahoo and Window Live. I would be pleased to assist.

It is rather addictive.

Smile but in your mind you will not know if your being controlled, it is the suggestion put inside your mind that makes it addictive. In your deep deep conscious, depending how your being controlled, come to me and find out more

I've seen "oh shit, now I have this power, wow, weird" kind of stories work well. If you're asking for fiction purposes, yes anything.

If you're asking for real-world modification purposes, they're going to have to enjoy control enough to want to bother. That doesn't mean they have to be at the top of all social hierarchies everywhere though, one of the stupidest BDSM literary tropes out there IMHO.

The bottom line is that when hypnotized you cant me made to do something that you don't want to do.

yes. I wasted a hypnotherapy session -- I wanted to stop biting my nails, and the therapist tried to do it by having me believe that all the microbes under my nails would make me sick and kill me. Well, that is so obviously untrue, (since I am still alive after all these nail-biting years after all) -- it broke me right out of the trance.

Then they didn't take enough time to get to know what you're really motivated by or not motivated by. I'm no pro, but even I know that.

Mind control is the easiest thing in the world. Insults/threats do it almost immediately, discounts do it soon enough, and subliminal threats work well to keep your victim's mind right.

Folks like STELLA are encrusted with what we call POLARITY RESPONSES, and if you wanna tie her up like a lil pansy and lead her around like a pony suggest everything but what you really want her to do so she can 'defeat' you by rejecting every suggestion but the one you didn't express.

Yep, one has to get to know the subject, and adapt to their needs. one should also go to an authorized recognized hypnotist

There is no ONE regulating body. Sure there are good CHT's and master NLP practitioners and blah, but you can get those certs off a box top also. Find out WHERE the creds came from, get references.

I'd rather recreationally hypnotize with non-certified people because any therapy professional who can sexualize their work like that is automatically unethical in my book. YMMV.

An MD cannot really "play doctor" in scenes as his primary kink if he cares about his license.
