Woman is woken up in the morning by her maid, who brings her her breakfast in bed and then eats her out while she checks her messages.

She then does a quick work out with her trainer who she showers with and fingers until her trainer almost doubles over.

She gets dressed, tells her maid what she wants to see her wearing when she gets back and then goes to work. A perfectly normal day.

…which is not at all the same as any other day.

See, MC works an entry level job and she’s supposed to be living in a shitty studio apartment and until today, she’s never had a maid or trainer.

So what happens when she has a lucid thought for a second and realizes things aren’t adding up? And what is the motivation of the maid and trainer?

My thought process was: what if someone is being mind controlled but not to be subservient?

All sorts of things could be going on. Supposedly, there's things you can't easily mind-control someone into, or different people may have different susceptibility. Our mark is easy, and a stepping stone for the real target/goal; there's no need to make her slave and the whole thing fits with the scenario being build and may be seen as little unasked reward for still forced cooperation.

Even if not, the mind controller needs setup and cover, in a world where mind control is a thing there may be countermeasures and people in the know will look after possible attempts, but are more likely to suspect rich and and powerful and splendid as most amateur/beginner mind controllers would set up themselves so shortly.

I have, I think also mentioned here elsewhere, a conceptually similar scenario, albeit significantly different tone and setup:

... a looser guy (not necessarily incel, but maybe on the way into, but perhaps just hopeless nerd) after a lone late night TV sports/gaming/beer goes up to his bedroom (likely still in mom's house), stripping without turning light on, close the window, lays in the bed and hugs his girlfriend...

...only he don't have a girlfriend, current surely, they broke up ugly a while ago, and the girl in his bed is certainly not her...

...but he's drunk and tired, and a soft warm body in his bed is a nice find, even if she's like, "mmm, nice, let's sleep it's late."

He learn her name next morning overhearing her conversation with his mother/whomever she is together in the kitchen. Everyone else in the house act like it's absolutely normal the strange girl is there; he's still baffled silly, but courts the girl like he newer did nor knew how (and possibly even with little internal conflict why he's doing all those silly "unmanly" nice things for her).

He gets promotion at work or new work entirely, he's suddenly popular and invited to parties and such, and rides it like a pro, all while keeping an eye on how effortlessly his girl gets her way with everybody and everything.

... then she's gone, just as suddenly, and his good luck and success as it were and his newfound social skills, all is gone with her. And it seems he's the only one having any memory about her ever existing, to the point he's wondering is he really going crazy. But there's too much evidence, mostly circumstantial, but also very much physical, things she used, clothes, even photos perhaps, just nobody recognizes her anymore, shrugging it off or offering obviously invented explanations...

Then... then he notices her in a different place, different role and having different people dancing around her, and she's obviously uncomfortable he recognized her...
