Mille, K, a thousand --

The road that has brought
me a thousand posts
has wound
through a thousand songs.

A thousand hearts have beat with mine
and a thousand eyes have cried
tears of joy and mourning,
tears of regret and glee.

A thousand days of laughter
and a thousand whispers of hope
and a thousand shouts of victory
in a thousand human voices.

But the thousand things
I love the most
are the thousand lives
I've touched.

Very lovely poem. This is much nicer than what I did at 1000 posts. I think I started a "hey, ya'll. help me think of a title to put under my name" thread. The first one I used was "save an apple, eat eve." I still like that. Anyway, congrats on posting so much. And thanks for sharing the wonderful poem.

Congrats. I've never done anything 1000 times except
breath and beers. I have 80 some posts. Help me think
of a cool av, something bar or beach related would work.

Thanks to all of you for your congrats. I was hesitant to post again. That pure 1000 looked so sexy. Now, I feel like Sheherazade, 1001 and look where that got her!

Maybe, I'll have to find an evil sultan. Are there any in these here parts?

I'd more misunderstood cynic, but I could play evil sultan when necessary. <smiling in a devilish sort of way, folding hands together and looking you over from across the tips of the fingers>
