Military Tribute

Just wanted to throw this one out and see how many here are Military brats?

Like to see us honor our parents and those parents, lost but not forgotten. A tribute of sorts for all they did to help raise us up.

We knew and understood why they couldn't be there all the time and why some never made it home to us:(
But us Military Brats had and still do have a strong bond amongst ourselves for them all.

I know my Son who is the in Navy and Niece in the Army would feel proud if we just let them know once in while how much we do love them and hope for there safe return.

So take a moment out of our busy lives and Be Proud and Say it Loud for each Branch of the Service for someone you know or have a family in. Be sure to let us know what branch of service here you would like to pay a tribute to!

Army military brat here.

[laughs] With 5 moves under my belt. Is it just me? The one thing I took away from growing up the daughter of a military man was the ability to pick up and go. I have never been afraid to move and even my husband is impressed with my ability to pack up a house.

A big THANK YOU to all the men and women who serve and protect us. And a big (((hug))) to all the families who struggle to keep a home for our wandering soldiers.

I have made 5 moves since being an adult. Hubby complains that I am part gypsy because I am always ready to try someplace new. We have lived here for a while but I will admit at around 3-4 years, I was getting itchy feet. [laughs]

LOL yes, have to keep the itching powder by myself.

Mention selling everything and moving about 6 years ago and I got big... Oh Hell No! But at least my kids haven't had to change schools like we did all the time... so far. Oh darn where's that itchy powder again????lol:D

Army brat. Dad retired after 22 years as a Lt Col. We moved around a lot. Lives in Germany for 5 years. Was quite the overall experience.

True, IHateClowns, hard to explain to others, how we grew up and how most of us wouldn't trade our experience of it.

But this thread can be about any tribute to the military. I know there are more from other countries... Leave a tribute to them....
