miley cyrus

well since britney and lohan are slackers...its nice to know that Miley is picking up the slack. soon we will watch Miley on Dr. Drew

Oh, look, guys, you know how this goes: She's seventeen years, three hundred sixty four days, twenty-three hours and fifty-nine seconds old, and she's a CHILD, and even thinking about imagining a fantasy about her is wrong, wrong, wrong, and sick, sick, sick, and then the clock ticks, and you can fuck every hole. Makes no sense to me, but hey, I couldn't make this up, I just read it somewhere in the rulz.

Everyone knows that I didn't have a single sexual thought or feeling until that night I turned eighteen. I was standing by the door with my stuff and when the clock struck, I was history!

Meanwhile Jamie Lynn Spears has a BABY for god's sake, and she like, what, SIXTEEN? So she COULDN''T have had SEX, it must have been some kind of Immaculate Conception.

Love,

Jamie

That rule is . . .very confusing. I mean how do you handle fan fic then when it comes to say Hannah Montana? Lets say the show gets canceled this year. When Miley turns eighteen does Hannah get dragged along with her?

I learned the answer to this question the hard way. Literotica doesn't care how old the actors are. They only care about how old the characters are. Literotica doesn't even care about how old the characters are in your story. They only care about how old the characters are in the original fiction you deriving them from.

Hannah Montana is and forever will be underage and forever off limits to Literotica. You can not write a story that takes place one year, ten years or a hundred years later. If they are minors on the show and the show ends before the characters (not the actors) turn 18, they will forever be off limits on Literotica.

I wrote a series based on the Terminator. You know, the time traveling robots? My story was rejected. I re-wrote the story, made it take place a few years later, explicitly wrote that they characters were 18. I added a note that stated, in addition to the characters being over 18, the actors were in their 20s and 30s. Here's what I got in my rejection letter:

The John Connor character is 15-16 years old during this series. Age of actor playing him is not relevent [sic]

Since the series was canceled, these characters will forever be off limits. Stupid? Yes. But I don't make the rules. All I can do is delete my stories and take them to another site that isn't so anal about minutia like that. At least my stories can appear uncensored on my ASSTR site and other sites. So, in the end, Literotica accomplishes very little by making mountains out of molehills.

Why do you blame Literotica? Blame the laws. In most countries, the age of consent is 18. I am not sure about Lit, but I guess the website comes from the USA. And think about it: in the USA, if an adult has sex with a 17 year old, it is called children sex. So if Lit would allow stories with minors, they would always take the risk of getting into trouble.

I know, sometimes the "18" rule seems strange. Not too long ago, a german celebrity released a book about sex. In an interview, she explained that she enjoys sex, but todays teenagers get an overdose, due to the media and the internet. She said she heard how 13 year old teenager talked about their experiences with anal sex. (the first time I just heard about anal sex was when I was 16, and back then, I wasn't even sure if it was real or just a joke - I mean sex through the butthole?)

Sure, many interesting story lines with first time sex can't be posted here, because nowadays most people have their first time before being 18. But so are the rules. If you want to post here, you have to follow the rules.

There is no such risk and there is no such law. In America, people are incarcerated for things that they *do*, not what they *think*. You are confusing written fiction with photography or film making. There is a HUGE difference between the two. In written fiction, there are no living, breathing people involved except for the author and the reader.

If there were laws against erotic fiction, how do you explain the existence of sites like ASSTR which allows stories to run uncensored on all topics and whose existence pre-dates the world wide web? You would figure that in 20 years, someone would get around to enforcing that law.

Finally, we are not even talking about stories with minors. We are talking about taking a fictional character and writing a story about them in a setting that takes place years after the publication or TV series at which time the character is 18 or older.

So your point, even if it were valid, is completely moot.

No. It's not stupid. Lit has their rules for a reason. It keeps them from "getting in trouble" if Disney or another creator got pissed their creation was being used. (As in the case where they were discussing Hannah Montana.) "Hannah" is the "good little girl" no mater what Miley does now that she is an adult.

So Lit has an "all or nothing" rule. If you were to ban "Hannah" you'd have to ban "John Connor".

If Lit's rules piss you off go to the ASSTR that you've advertised here where they allow child and animal abuse stories.

This argument doesn't quite wash. If Disney were to exercise the time, money and energy into raising a fuss, it's unlikely they would appreciate erotica involving properties like Mary Poppins, Cruella De Vil, or other characters of adult age. However, I do see your argument that while Lit may be willing to cross one line (slash fic) they are unwilling to cross another (under 18).

Done and done, but ad hominem attacks and cheap shots do nothing to further your point. The price of freedom is tolerance. How quickly we forget.

The rule is just so unenforcable by any sane person. For starters even by Lit's rules Hannah Montana IS 18. She's the same age as the actress, I don't even WATCH the show and I know that the main gimmick is that she's the Miley is her "real" name and Hannah is her "stage" name. The series finale according to wikipedia was January 11th 2011. So both are within bounds if the rule is applied as written.

It's easy for the charachters that don't change. It's clear that Bart Simpson is a child and will forever be one. For Terminator though I'd lie and change Cameron to. . .anything. Cus I saw Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines, instead of her dying she gets reprogramed for good (and now you have a hot chick who can change into whatever hot chick was in the last movie you watched!) I also saw Terminator Salvation. So of four movies half have John as being 18 or older.

What about Kim Possible? By any logic she's 18. She's a high school graduate at any rate and generally Lit's rule is that high school seniors are 18. There are plenty of Buffy the Vampire Slayer stories on here that as a fan of the show I can tell you are about a 17 year old girl. (The show actually celbrated her birthday most seasons so we KNOW exactly when she turned eighteen)

The rule as far as I've been able to proove as far as consistent is they have to be over eighteen AND sexually mature. You're two hundred year old vampire who happened to have been turned at nine? Off limits.

I had a story once get rejected with charachters that were STATED as being twenty five and in college because they acted like little girls and had stuffed animals. I also had two (I eventually took it down cus they were CRAP) where I all but told you the girl was sixteen. One was about a girl who was punished for eating cookies before dinner and the other was about a girl and her driving instructor.

It's like their animal rule is retarded. So retarded that THEY TELL YOU HOW TO GET AROUND IT. Why even have a rule if the rule itself says she can't fuck a horse but here look at the horn! Now it's a unicorn have at it. She cant' fuck a wolf? This is a dye it black and give it red contacts. Thsi is a hell hound! Have at it! They could have at least made and effort and said they have to be vaguely humanoid!

It's like their pic posting rule. "Legally we can only show soft core images"...yet they show you how to get around Lit's rules and post "hard core" things. Why have the rules when even the site owner turns her back to let others break them?

John Connor really shouldn't be an issue, since in canon he's 44 (at least as of the beginning of T2, in T1 he hadn't been concieved yet). Just have the story take place after 2003 and you should be golden. In theory, anyways.

As for Hannah Montana, the argument could be made that she's not 18 until they say in the show that she's 18. Particularly since Miley Cyrus doesn't play Miley Cyrus, she plays Miley Stewart.

I looked that up on Wikipedia, BTW. Haven't seen the show myself (Lizzie Maguire, however, was an awesome show back when I was in high school).

Again the rule enters this crazy grey zone. She SHOULD be 18 I haven't watched the show to confirm but I assume she's in high school and in any other case Lit's rule for adult is that high school seniors are assumed to be eighteen. But who knows if this is the freak occasion when they get stuck at twelve for no good goddamn reason.

Who knows, maybe in the Hannah Montana 'verse, the corporate backers did some Incredible Hulk type experiment on her that made her permanently 17 so she'd never age out of their target market? I got nothing. I guess if she isn't indicated in canon to have turned 18 at some point, then she is presumed to be stuck in comic-book-time at the age of 17 until further notice. Kind of like how the last three years of Girl Genius have covered less than a week in-universe.

This is a privately owned and run site. That means there is no such thing as 'free speech' here. The owners can set whatever rules they like for whatever reason they choose - follow them or go someplace else. Bitching about it is merely annoying to the rest of us.

I agree with you that "free speech" is not a guarantee on a privately owned and operated site, however, I don't recall ever making that argument. I merely pointed out that if one expects a greater latitude of freedom than is offered here, then one should be prepared to accept the presence of potentially unsavory material.

As for your bitching about our bitching, I'll be certain to unchain you from the monitor and stop force feeding this thread into your brain. Oh wait! You keep coming back to this thread all by yourself... Whose fault is that?

You would think that, but the story still got rejected. I got sick of rewriting and resubmitting it.

Then don't read them you pompous ass.

The real issue is less about bitching and more about not understanding and the Gods won't come down from Olympus to explain themselves in a clear and consistent method. Common sense seems to be don't get the same mod twice and or rename the story so it's less likely to catch the same guys attention. I've had stories where the "edit" I did to make a charachter who was apparently underaged was changed the title of the story.

Its really annoying not knowing if say Kermit the Frog is on or off because of Muppet Babies. Or if I write about Keifer Sutherland as a vampire is de-aged? The rule isn't consistent and it's a REAL pain in the ass.

What about the X-Men? In most recent versions only Wolverine, Storm and Xavier are adults. Is Spiderman a teen? It seems that the rule doesn't much apply to fairy tales where we know based either because it's explicitly stated or common sense based on when the stories were written are 16 year old girls (maybe younger) How bout the cast of Saved by the Bell? Are they stuck at 16 despite most of them appearing in the Saved by the Bell: The college years? It seems John Connor got fucked over by it despite T:3 Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation. How about Dawn Summers who was seventeen when the show ended but now that their's comics that take place 18 months later did that legal her up or is she stuck with the actual show?

What can I say? I don't actually think that the purpose of a rule is to confuse people.

Dawn is an even weirder case. She looks like a teenager, acts and thinks like a teenager, for all practical intents and purposes is a teenager, but it has been pointed out a few times on the show, as of the seventh season, she was still only about 2 years old. :D

I don't understand these so-called laws. I can't even find any trace of their existance. It is obviously illegal to have sex with a minor in America. But depicting this in any way shape or form - I see no laws against, save for child porn - but that is actual child sex.

There is all kinds of literature involving under age sex. It is often depicted in hollywood. One of my favorite shows - Californiacation, has the main character's 1 time fuck with a 16 year old girl as part of the main ongoing plot line - a scene where in fact they showed the actual sex in season 1, with the bare-titted 18 year old actress playing the sixteen year old girl fucking and "punching" Hank Moody.

There are no laws against sex with minors in fiction - not in America. Therefor the rule is just simply because they say so.

Therefor the rule is just simply because they say so.

Mind you, "Because we say so" is always a perfectly legitimate reason in a privately-owned enterprise.

There are "Anti Obscenity" laws which, unfortunately, tend to be high on the vagueness, and even then, I've heard of folks getting railroaded through the court system because they happened to be in a legal line of business that many people disapproved of.

There was a case a few years back in Texas where a guy was arrested and convicted of selling pornography to minors. What had he done? He sold an adult comic book to an adult police officer, who had shown him legal ID proving that he was of legal age. The porn was all kept in a separate room where minors couldn't get to it. Not only did the guy get convicted, but the judge went on record as saying he didn't care what the evidence showed because the guy was guilty purely based on the fact that "comic books are for kids".

So yeah, I don't blame the website owners for veering on the side of caution.

I assume that she'd fall under the robot/clone rule that physical age (or material age. . .since she's actually an ancient key and actually the oldest being on cast) doesn't matter. It's a strange but predictable combo of sexual maturity and mental age. 200 year old vampire stuck in the body of a 12 year old? Off limits. Robogirl fresh off the assembly line? Play ball. That part of the rule is clear as glass.

The question becomes what is cansidered cannon and why? Take this for example in a little known but very real cartoon Pebbles and Bam Bam are in their teen years. They are in High School now no grade is specifically given so we don't know. So are they fair game or does the fact that they are BETTER known as infants keep them on the off limits list?

It's important to note that in non-fictional celebrity cases high school seniors are always 18 according to lits rules.

I once joked, a few years back, about how stories should mention a daycare where everybody under the age of 18 gets deposited until the story is done, by way of explaining the odd lack of any 17 year olds running around. :D

To be fair, Dawn being 2 years old only comes up I think twice, and one of those was Buffy pulling it as a trump card to win an argument after Dawn pulled the "I'm x years old so stop treating me like a little kid" card.
