It's not really up to us. But Biden did already beat Trump once, and yes, I expect him to do so again.

That was true pre-Trump. Now the Dems fall in line to beat Trump with candidates they barely like.

It should be obvious that it will have no effect. The party is so obedient to his whim on every decision regardless of how far he has fallen within the legal system. It is the base that holds sway over the house's decisions. Cross Trump, and he feeds the anti-voter to the dogs - endorses another person to run against him as a result.

They know this. But it doesn't matter. They are at the mercy of their base which at this point is almost entirely MAGA cultists who are entirely loyal to Trump.

The really sad part is they knew this was the only way this was going to go. Lindsay Graham said it best when he said that Trump would destroy the party, and they would deserve it. The devil is coming for his due. Hopefully it won't take too long for a new conservative party to emerge from the wreckage.
