it's not so unusual—a candidate's name being late due to processes that are then quietly sorted to ensure their names do make the big election ballot—but Mike Dewine's statement on twitter has led to the not unexpected magat ugliness. In typically hypocritical fashion, they'd be chewing DeWine out if the tables were turned and trump's name had been late to the table, demanding he bend over backwards to get it on there as the right thing to do.

Democrats are scheduled to officially nominate their candidate, presumably Biden, too late to comply with Ohio's ballot access laws—a situation that, while not ideal, has occurred before and has been quietly solved by the state's legislators.

This is something that should not ever happen.

The parties need to get their heads above water and set their nomination dates to fit state laws.

Duplicate thread but fyi, Biden will be on the Ohio ballot and the state’s 17 electoral votes are safely in the Trump column. 👍
