Idris/Rawnie/Ceridwen
Rawnie began to waken, feeling first a pounding in her head, and then the sharpness of a blade at her throat. Eyes wide, she found herself looking up into Cael's azure gaze, but with Idris peering at her through his eyes. "M....m...my love?" she quavered and he immediately slapped her across the face, letting the edge of the blade sink just slightly into her tender throat. "You failed me, bitch. You let the whore get away by talking too much." He slapped her again, and then finding pleasure in it, again. She cowered beneath him, unable to get away from the knife. He smiled at her unpleasantly. "And where do you think my little Ceridwen has gone, slut? How am I to find her without getting caught again before I have done what I must?"
Without giving her a chance to answer, Idris moved his face closer to her own, breathing heavily. "I will drink from you now, my little slave. Your soul is not nearly as bright, but it will do, and your body will feed me as well." His eyes seemed to glow with an eerie light, and he pressed the knife deeper into her flesh, causing a slight flow of blood. Leaning in, he licked at it and then moved to her lips. Rawnie was terrified and yet she wanted him to do whatever he wished. Cael's mouth covered her own in what seemed to be a deep kiss, but then he began sucking against her mouth, as he dug the knife in deeper. She felt her breath and her life being sucked from her body, and weakly put her hands up to his shoulders trying to push him back.
Instead, a slippery tongue suddenly shot down her throat, gagging her, as Idris continued to drain her life force. The tongue burned as it slid deep inside her, searching for her heart. This was more pain than she had ever felt in her life, and she screamed, but with no sound. As he drained her body and his demon's tongue found her heart and wrapped around it, squeezing it, Rawnie was on fire from the inside out. She felt herself dying, and she could see the dark figure waiting for her, holding out his arms again, to give her her final embrace, before he took her into himself for all time. "Oh, Ceridwen...." her mind whispered, sane once more in its final moments "I'm so sorry. Forgive me." The last of her breath left her body and her heart exploded, as her soul was pulled inside the demon Idris, to mesh with his eternally.
Cael's body rose from the pale, still form on the floor, wiping his mouth with a distracted air. Wiping the knife on Rawnie's clothing, Idris made Cael's body move away from the desolate and bloody scene, determined to find his Ceridwen and make her pay dearly. If all else failed, he would hide near where the ceremony would take place and pounce at the right moment.
Meanwhile, Ceridwen had rested and caught her breath. She knew she was perfectly safe where she was now, for no one knew of the clearing, except the chosen ones. By the time Glnys returned, she was composed and calm once more. Glnys had informed Andras of what was happening and now all the men in the encampment were searching for Cael. Once he was found, he would be imprisoned again, until after the night passed, then if Idris was defeated, they would free him. If not, then he would be killed. Ceridwen nodded and sighed. She had a feeling it was going to be easier said than done to capture Idris again.
Shaking off the thoughts and worries, Ceridwen centered herself, burning the incense again as she bathed in the river, as Glnys sang chants and songs around her. The rituals continued throughout the day, until the gloaming was upon them. Ceridwen was as purely clean as she had ever been in her life. She donned the thin garment of white, which clung to her damp body, showing every curve, her hair loose and curling about her shoulders. Her feet were bare, and a crown of herbs encircled her head. She sipped the potion that had been prepared for her, just for this purpose and followed Glnys along toward the Circle, where she knew the people were already gathered, waiting.
