Well, that was a fun night. Storms all night but the fun was around 2 am. I was so hot that it woke me up. Wife was up with the TV going. The weather man was on so knew it was not good. Tracking tornados with one confermed touch down around Saline.

Owning a place helps, makes planning a trip a hellava lot easier! I was hoping to hear about an undiscovered hotel/city/gem. Well undiscovered by me...

What area are you looking to go? US 2 is a great drive and beautiful view. Lots of little cities, a casino and Escanaba in the long run. Lots of off shoots along the way also that would take you more towards the center of the UP (glass bottom boat tour). Plus close to the bridge along US 2 is the Mystery Spot, Cut Water Bridge (worth the walk to the bottom), Garland Zoo (worth a once visit), Deer ranch, a few cool little cemeteries.

The locks and the falls if you want to more so shoot straight up from the bridge plus another casino up that way also.

Very cool also. We did the later cruise that goes a bit farther out to another falls. We went on July 6th of last year. You would think with it being the 4th weekend that it would be warm......we were SO cold.

Headed to the Soo the end of July. Atlantic Salmon fishing. Hoping it becomes my new favorite spot.

Lawn mowed (finally, yesterday)

Grill is fired up (a bit too soon). Deck is swept. Table cloth cleaned off. Yard guard sprayed and mosquito sprinkles sprinkled.

One gurl is home from river tubing. Other is still at work. That woman is prepping food.

Soon to set table etc.
