Michael Cohen - Poll Dancer

Eh, it's not news that online polls can be rigged.

Something like this might have made a difference very early in the campaign when Trump was still struggling to be taken seriously, but I question how much it would matter in the long run. Put it this way: if a "poll" came out today with the news that 99 percent of Americans approved of Trump, would that prompt anyone here to change their minds about him?

The funniest part of the story is that this is yet another case where Trump loudly complained about activity he was himself engaged in (no candidate in history ever bitched more about "rigged polls" than Trump in 2016).

Also, even in the middle of a presidential campaign where publicity for this sort of deadbeat behavior had the potential to finally hurt his image, Trump still refused to pay the "poling firm" what he owed them.

Agreed. The impact on the campaign and election was probably minimal, and seems to be contained to the early days of the Trump campaign. What's interesting to me are the legal issues, and the possibility of a criminal case against Trump on the grounds of defrauding the voting public.
