Mice!!!!!

Cat -

We have D-con everywhere now. Question for you, please? If one of our cats would ingest a poisoned mouse could they become sick?

I'm not expecting to see any mice but this worries me a bit.

That would depend entirely on how much poison the mouse has eaten before being caught.

Usually a cat will not eat a dead mouse, but it has been known to happen.

I have never hear of any problems with this but I'll check with some friends of mine who have both cats and mice.

Thank you, Cat.

I imagine they'll go off to die somewhere and we won't see them.

I hope.

I'm, um, confused. The mice seem not to be surviving the cats. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

Two mice in a couple of days?

We must have a few, BK.

Time to bring in the troops.
We have a difference of opinion of cat efficiency.

I figure the cats are getting them as they come in. You assume that the cats have a low batting average.

But that they're getting in, so a close examination of the exterior of the house is due. I put out D Con every fall in strategic places in the garage. They haven't made it in for the past several years.

My last cat not only got rid of the mice in the house but when she started going outside, she rid the surrounding area of squirrels and chipmonks too. Not to mention blue jays, cardinals and robins. I tried to train her to take out door to door salesmen and bible thumpers too, but that was a wasted effort. She was outnumbered.

Excellent!
