You can try them all for awhile and then just delete which ones you don't want, I liked Firefox when I first tried it and even bought a couple of thier t-shirts, but I like best and am stayin with Avant.
If you get some lil replicating bugs, that you kill and then they replicate when you restart, you should try the Adaware. I can go into my registy and kill stuff, but don't have to much with Adaware.
Also the thingie you had sounds like one which Hi-jack This would pick up easy. With the Hi-jack This program you may need for someone to read your logs at first until you get used to it. I used to post mine for experts to look at but now I do my own and peoples send me thiers for evaluatin and stuff.
All of this stuff is free and Google Search is your friend and will find you a download link.
Viruses, worms and hi-jacks .................... Kill em all, let god sort em out.
